"Esther McAuley's Duke strikes a balance between cunning and alarming, playing up her willingness to flaunt her absolute authority over others with finely judged comic timing"

The Stage, Measure for Measure, Guildford Shakepeare Company

"It's evident in the body language, beautifully and achingly portrayed by Esther McAuley as Kim... she's simply extraordinary here embodying a woman who faces the kind of news we've all known someone to receive or maybe even received it ourselves...and when she aches, we ache with her ... McAuley so completely immerses herself in this role."

The Independent Critic, Can't Hide It, Wales International Film Festival

"It's no holds barred, sombre, loaded with heartbreaking moments yet still cheekily funny and at times even joyous. The relationship between the two central characters is beautifully handled, each devoted to the other in a warming, sarcastic manner. The performances from McAuley and Fowler depict the wondrous endurance of love, with each actor terrifically coping with the highs and lows that the plot demands."
