Nicky Harley in DANCING AT LUGHNASA at The Gate Theatre

Casting has been announced at DANCING AT LUGHNASA at The Gate Theatre in Dublin - with Nicky Harley playing Agnes.

Dancing at Lughnasa centres on the Mundy sisters in Donegal as the Constitution of Ireland is being conceived and the hopes of summer and the possibility of love feel like they are in the grasp of these extraordinary, ordinary women.

A play about female resilience and the sacrifices we choose, and are forced, to make. Although inevitably tragic, it celebrates the truth and beauty of these women and reminds us of how far away freedom is for so many.
