We’re looking for 2 disabled and nondisabled movement / dance artists for an exciting R&D for a new show written by Michael Southan, created with Dominic Mitchell (Choreography) and Tessa Walker (Direction). Produced by @theprodexch and supported by using public funding by Arts Council England.
📍 Wolverhampton / West Midlands–based artists
We’re seeking artists of all genders and gender expressions who are comfortable combining movement with text, acting, and character work. Formal or self-taught: all dance and movement practices welcome.
We’re after artists who are:
- Curious & adaptable
- Strong, dynamic presences
- Excited by collaboration & creative exploration
🗓 Availability (must attend all dates):
• 16–20 March 2026 — R&D, Arena Theatre (Wolverhampton)
• 15–17 April 2026 — R&D, Arena Theatre (Wolverhampton)
Fee: Paid position: ITC 25/26 minimum rate.

Include a video showing your movement and/or performance work, with a brief description for context. For video, please provide timestamps to support ease of viewing. For other documentation, please keep it to a maximum of one page, and video submissions should total at least 5 minutes.
Shortlisted artists will be invited to a virtual interview with Dominic Mitchell.
