Rebecca Banatvala

Rebecca Banatvala is an early career writer; and actor who has performed widely across theatre, TV and film. Her debut full length play A Piece of My Liver was one of six shortlisted for the Tony Craze Award.

 

She was part of the first BFI Darkroom cohort in 2024 led by Caragh Davison and Helios Blanc with her film project, Aunties in the USSR, currently being adapted for Stage. Rebecca is an alumni of Soho writers and was also shortlisted for Nisha Parti’s 2020 Asian Writer’s Award in conjunction with the BBC.
