Cecilia Trono

Cecilia is a Set and Costume Designer from Paris, based in London. Her work has been seen in venues including Southwark Playhouse, The Arcola Theatre, Jermyn Street Theatre. She has been nominated for an Off West End Award for Best Set Design twice.

She is also an experienced design assistant, costume supervisor and wardrobe manager.

Alongside her work in Theatre, she has built up experience as Costume Standby and Crowd Supervisor in film and TV, for productions including: Emily in Paris, Trigger Point and more recently, Geek Girl for Netflix.

Her Theatre credits include: The Blue Hour of Natalie Barney (Arcola Theatre), The Last Ones (Jermyn Street Theatre), The Riots (Stratford Circus, London), The Paradise Circus (Playground Theatre) and costume design for The Rubenstein Kiss and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at Southwark Playhouse.

She was a visiting designer at Rose Bruford College in 2018 and occasionally teaches model box making to the college’s Theatre Design First Year students.

She has assisted numerous designers including Leslie Travers, Gary Mccann, Takis, Alex Berry, Justin Nardella, Victoria Johnstone, Charlie Cridlan and Mayou Trikerioti.

Cecilia is currently Wardrobe Manager for Southbank Centre's new Jazz adaptation of Nutcracker.
