Anastasia Osei-Kuffour

Anastasia is an experienced and much sought after Director working on projects in the theatre, on the radio and on screen. She loves stories and their power to move and touch people and believes those stories can be a catalyst for change.

Anastasia directed the world premiere production of Dougie Blaxland's new play, On The Ropes, at Park Theatre. The play, written in collaboration with acclaimed black, British boxer Vernon Vanriel, explores Vernon's rise to the top of the boxing world in Britain and his subsequent abandonment by the British government as a result of the Windrush Scandal.

Anastasia recently directed the world premiere of Jessica Hagan's (Queens of Sheba) new play, Brenda's Got A Baby, at the New Diorama Theatre.

This Spring saw the premiere of Anastasia's first play, Love Steps which she also directed. The show opened at Clapham Omnibus and is heading to Talawa later in the year. The Stage called it "an impressive writing debut, marking Osei-Kuffour as a playwright to watch."

Anastasia's radio work includes; Faith, Hope & Glory (BBC Radio 4) and We Need New Stories (Fifth Word Theatre). She also worked with Tamasha and The National Archives on their Windrush project, A story told three times and still unfinished, which you can listen to here.
