JAMES RONAN
James is an experienced actor and now theatre director. His acting career has been focused mainly on classical theatre whereas his work as a director mainly involves developing work with new writers.
As an actor James has played many of Shakespeare’s leading roles, toured internationally in new writing as well as also working in short films and commercials. Most recently James played Viola in Twelfth Night: A Gender Experiment directed by Natasha Rickman. The sell out show performed at both The RSC Dell, Stratford Upon Avon and Rose Playhouse, London.
As director James’ work has been seen at Southwark Playhouse, Theatre N16 and at Live at Zedel alongside running workshops and audition tutorials. He is a founder member of the arts collective the Cavalry and produced and directed the full length piece Dirty Word in 2017. He is currently working with Esplanade Films on developing short play Have Your Cake for the screen and is working with writer Rachel Tookey on development of her play Clasp.
