Shelley Davenport is a writer/performer - with a particular strength for scripted and improvised comedy. After a brief (and misguided) stint working in counter terrorism, she has spent the past couple of years on the lighter side of life, bringing her comedy scripts to life on stage and screen. She recently starred as Sheryl, the melancholic YouTuber in 'Make Up With Sheryl', which was screened at London Short Film Festival 2017, and nominated for 'Best Lo Budget Short'.
As well as her work in comedy, Shelley's dramatic short film TORPEDO (in which she also co-starred) has been screened at 'Shooting the Breeze' Film Fest, and continues to travel the festival circuit. As a writer, Shelley's work has been longlisted by BBC Writersroom, and earned her a place on the inaugural 'Betty & Peter list' - Big Talk and LOCO Film Festival's selection of the '10 most exciting un-produced comedy writers' in the UK.
Recent credits include; The Circle (Southwark Playhouse), Witness A (Theatre N16), and popular web series Parental Guidance - which has been featured by the British Comedy Guide as 'One to Watch'. Shelley continues to develop and perform in material for stage and television, as well as producing short films through her company, Cavalry Films.
