About NADEEM
Nadeem Islam trained in Community Art Practice at BRIT School before graduating in 2015.
Most recently, he starred in Series 3 of The Bay in which he plays series regular Jamal Rahman. Nadeem also played Deepak in Then Barbara Met Alan on BBC Two - written by Jack Thorne and Genevieve Barr.
He is known for his work in comedy improv and TV Presenting as seen in programs such as Small World with Mutt & Jeff and See Hear Tour with BBC See Hear. Nadeem was nominated for Best Actor by Deaffest UK Deaf Film/TV award for his performance in Where I Belong. He was recently nominated for his work on See Hear by RTS Awards for On Screen Talent.
Other recent screen credits include Raj in short film Ava and Jordan in Jordan's Story (Eyewitness Media).
His recent stage experience includes Trewlawney in Treasure Island (Derby Theatre), Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist (Leeds Playhouse/Ramps on the Moon), Blasted (Graeae/RADA) and Horrible Histories - Dreadful Deaf (Bristol Old Vic).
Nadeem is currently in rehearsals for THE FATHER AND THE ASSASSIN at the National Theatre - a new play by Anupama Chandrasekhar and directed by Indhu Rubasingham.
