About LUCY
Lucy May Rothwell is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and winner of The Prudence Emlyn-Jones Prize for Movement and Dance.
Since graduating she has worked on a number of exciting productions, these range from playing the lead role of Marietta in The Stick House directed by Olivier nominee Anna Ledwich, Luciana in a circus production of A Comedy of Errors for Exeter Northcott to performing with award winning comedy sketch group Late Night Gimp Fight at Soho Theatre. She was also seen in the feature film Everybody's Talking About Jamie (Warp Films/20th Century Fox).
In addition to being a versatile actor, Lucy is also a writer and established burlesque artist. Collaborating with new writing company Not Too Tame on a number of shows. Her debut short play was picked up by Paines Plough and taken to the Edinburgh Fringe as part of their Later season. Utilising her skills in acting, movement, singing and comedy has seen her quickly rise to become an International burlesque headliner on cabaret stages across Europe.
