About EMILY
Emily is a deaf actress who read Theatre Arts, Education & Deaf Studies and graduated from the University of Reading in 2015.
She recently made her first professional stage debut as Duckling Smith in Our Country’s Good (in co-production with Ramps on the Moon) which started in Nottingham Playhouse and went on tour in 2018. Emily received impressive reviews for her performance from Broadway World, Always Time for Theatre and Exeunt Magazine.
Her other theatre credits include War Crimes for the Home, (Pulse Festival & Fingersmiths); Depot, (Mercury Theatre). Her film and television credits include Acceptable Damage (rebel Without Crew Films) and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (Remark), respectively.
Emily also dances, having had some ballet, salsa, tap and jazz training.
She worked as a Trainee Assistant Stage Manager for Tommy, 2017 and went on tour with them. Her next ASM job was Oxy & The Morons, 2017 at The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich.
